Yarn Alive shipped four huge boxes full of knitted hats and blankets to the Philippines in October. We sent through a door to door delivery service Balikubayan from Shichigahama, Miyagi Japan to the Philippines on October 18th.

皆さま11月に入りかがお過ごしですか。

ヤーンアライブではご寄付で頂きました毛糸を使ってメンバーの皆さんが帽子やひざ掛けを日々編んで下さっています。2011年震災で被災した時に国内外からたくさんの支援を受け今度は自分たちが出来ることをして喜んでもらいたい！という想いから、今回七ヶ浜からフィリピンの2か所の地域に大きな段ボール箱いっぱいの帽子とひざ掛けを国際宅配便で10月18日に発送いたしました。合計4箱になりました。

We have already sent hundreds of hats to people living in the mountains in the Luzon area this summer and also to the children at the elementary school in the higher elevation area in August this year. The team who helped Yarn Alive with taking those hats this summer brought back information that the temperature gets pretty cool in those mountains. We are happy and blessed them with 138 lap blankets to children in Luzon this October. We’ve also shipped 543 hats and 25 blankets to Mindanao on the same shipping date. Boxes will arrive in 6 to 7 weeks to both places. We hope boxes will arrive and blankets will get to children before Christmas!

この夏ボランティアチームを通してルソン地方に帽子をお届けいただきました際、その地方は寒くなる地域なのでぜひひざかけをこどもたちに送ってあげたいという願いが今回叶いました。138枚のひざかけをルソン地方のこどもたちへ、543枚の帽子と25枚のひざ掛けをミンダナオ地方に発送いたしました。10月18日に発送完了、6-7週間ほど到着までかかりそうですが、クリスマスにこどもたちの手に届くことを願っています。
